Wildlife Problems in Highland Township, Michigan

The residents of Highland Township, Michigan have had some strange run-ins with the local wildlife.

I heard something strange last night but I didn\'t think anything of it. This morning I opened a drawer in my bathroom (that I open every day) and found 3 opossums, definitely not full grown but not babies, they were about the size of a kitten. We got rid of them and think we closed off how they came in but weren\'t so sure because there were no holes. I\'m worried about them coming back and worrying about the mom. There was only 3 and they were all by each other in the same drawer. We want to know what we should do next because I\'m extremely worried. -Thomas W

A mother raccoon and her babies were in our attic. We played loud music, turned on attic lights, put ammonia soaked rags up there with a fan to blow smell. We saw her take at least 1 baby out a week ago so my husband sealed the opening. The raccoon returned, tore open soffit and we hear it in attic, though we do not hear baby sounds. She has been there 4 days without leaving. We need help.     -Jolene R

For the past 2 years there has been a pigeon nest on our roof until recently my husband was able to remove the nest and put a netted fence. That has not stopped the pigeons from returning, however. They pick at the netted fence. Everyday I’m having to clean the front of our house, their poop droppings are everywhere. The pigeons are now staying in front part of our roof and they also like to be above our door way which means, as you can imagine, our door way always has poop droppings. We aren’t sure what else to do now, we need help.      -Erika B

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Highland Township and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Animal Problems in Highland Township, Michigan

The animal problems that residents are having in Highland Township, Michigan exceed that of just mice and squirrels!

I discovered my vole problem about 6 years ago and have since used professional bait, store bought traps and bait, and whatever else I could find. There has been a lot of money spent on this problem. They are so bad now, though, I need help!! I used to have the nicest lawn in the area but now every square inch has a hole or a trail.            -Olive P

We have birds that are nesting in a dryer/bathroom vent and we now have a \'fishy\' smell in bathroom. I\'m assuming there is now a dead bird. We would like birds removed, area sanitized, and improved vents installed to reduce likelihood of re-infestation. The vents they entered in are on the second story.       -Tanesha G

Garter snakes have been getting into the space between (that makes up) the ground level floor and the basement ceiling (basement is finished with a sheet rock looking ceiling). When the bottom soffit was removed where a snake was seen going into, the stench was horrendous. We found they have had access to some lengths between boards where the insulation goes into the house. Need to know what can be done and how to ensure all snakes gone. Along with smell. We have covered the section with plastic but not sure they will come out or go in further. Will they stay along the insulation? Do I have to haul off the landscape rock they have travelled on? I have only been in the house a year. Also I had the cement steps removed which seemed to be a pathway from one side into where they go inside the floor/ceiling at night. I have only caught about 10 with traps or by someone catching them by hand.        -Jeremy C
